Pulling-different-directions

Ever feel like you are being pulled in every direction?

That's how I feel right about now.

It's Monday morning. 11am. I've put out several fires, handled my house hold duties, been a mom, wife, tech support and I'm TIRED.

I don't complain much. Like seriously. But today, well the past week or so it's just been crazy.

I have a headache.

I feel like crying.

I don't want to do ANYTHING.

FOR ANYONE.

It sounds selfish.

It feels selfish.

But to be honest, at this point, I don't even care.

I've prayed. I've cried. I've had cupcakes & Ice cream.

I've had a heart to heart with Tony.

I've said no to my parents.

I've said no to almost all requests that have come my way.

I'm turning my phone off.

I need a break.

Away from everyone & everything.

Everyone needs a break sometimes, my dear. Especially mothers, I think – we spend so much time doing for others, we forget to do for ourselves. Care for yourself!

This morning I was laughing and talking to husband. I made the comment that I was tired, I kept repeating “I’m so tired”. Why did I start crying? We all go through it so I hope you don’t feel alone.

My dear this is exactly what lead me to my ordeal last summer. We as women sometimes push ourselves way too hard. Listen to your body. When it says sloooow down do just that. If you do t you may not like the outcome.

Completely understand *hugs*! Girl I recently started to have stress headaches and neck tension—I’ve never had those–wasn’t fun. The Holy Spirit was telling me to let something go but I wouldn’t. I listened then LOL! Sounds like you need some time to decompress. Enjoy your “me” time. May God refill your cup (smile).

Hi Adrienne. I’ve followed your blog for a couple years now, and I think you are an amazing and inspiring Strong Black Woman. You make me laugh, inspire me to sew (!), and give me hope that maybe one day I’ll have such a beautiful and loving family in my own life. I’m just writing to say that you are Never alone. Don’t feel bad about listening to your Inner Voice, as it relays our messages from God. Those who love you already understand. Take heart in the fact that there are people you may never meet who pray for you and wish you all the best. 😉
    With Warm Regards,
    Adrienne D.
P.S. as I proof-read this I found that it is as much a message for myself as for you. As I gave YOU my insight, I realized it was just what I needed to hear! YAY for the Inner Voice LOL! xo

Everyone needs a break sometimes to just stop for a while. No guilt allowed!

I agree with Nikki…we are all there at some point, some more than others. What you have to remember is that we NEED to RECHARGE in order to keep going. When it’s that time for me, my hubby takes me away to a hotel or resort so I can be away from everything for a day or two…no cooking, cleaning or hearing my name called! If that’s not your thing, tell your Boo what YOU want to do to recharge your battery and do it! When you come back to reality, you’ll thank yourself for it! I do whenever I need to!

I hope that you get all of the rest and relaxation you need.
