MOVE THAT BUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MOVE THAT BUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, well maybe not THAT extreme BUT lol, anyone who has been reading my blog for ANY length of time, I've talked about wanting to have kitchen remodeled. We've been in our house now ten years. The kitchen is the ORIGINAL kitchen that was put in this house in the 70's….

16 Isn't that horrible lol. I HATED my kitchen. I used it, but you know lol.

How about a few more before pics…

Now, these were all the progress shots I got because we left for 10 days for vacation (another post lol).

When I got back this is what I saw (he still isn't completely finished, his tools are still on the floor in one of the pics lol)

6Isn't it BEAUTIFUL?? LOL

Hardwoods in the kitchen and dining room. We are going to pull up every thread of carpet and put hardwoods in the entire house. CAN NOT WAIT.

I just had to repeat this picture because I'm so happy about my kitchen. I thank God for working the way He does so we could FINALLY get this done. I LOVE it!! Might not be a chef's kitchen but it's MINE! lol

It’s lovely. I hope you enjoy it for many years to come. We put hardwoods down on all of our floors (except for tile in the bathroom and hall) and I am happy to be rid of all carpet.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

You kitchen looks great! You don’t have to make deprecating comments to justify what your family could do. If it’s what you can afford and you love it, so be it! You cook, that makes you a “chef”, so it’s a “CHEF’S KITCHEN”! Enjoy!

Your kitchen is beautiful. Love it all. We finished putting wood floors in when my father was staying with us when he broke both sides of his pelvis in a car accident. I love love love them. I thought I would want carpets on them but we couldn’t get them while Dad was in his wheelchair and ended up loving not having carpet at all. Easy to keep clean and far less alergy problems.

And I totally feel you on hardwood floors. Carpet is for the birds.

What do you plan to cook first in your new kitchen?
Had your house been about 10 years older you might already have hardwood underneath the carpet. That’s what I found @ my last home. Hardwood was even in the closets. It only had to be refinished. I was so pleased with the work that was done. It’s a lot better for people with allergies too.

  • Barbara/ 18.08.2011Reply

Love it. Your kitchen is the exact same layout as my kitchen which I too want to remodel. Where did you get your cabinets? They look great. You will get a lot of enjoyment from that kitchen.

  • Myra/ 18.08.2011Reply
