Thankful…

Thankful…

You know I've been blogging since 2005. I spent some time going through my posts and I've been sharing "stuff" since Day 1.

Tony was a little unsure of me being so open on here (although I don't say where I live, or what school the kids go to, or even what church I belong to, or where he works or where I have worked) but over the years he has come to understand my love of blogging.

I've shared my ups and downs. Scary moments, happy moments and everything in between.

I know a LOT of bloggers who stick to their craft and never mention their families and if that is what they choose to do, great!

I love sharing. I don't go into TOO much detail on here but those that KNOW me, truly KNOW ME.

You guys have watched my kids grow up.

Going through some old posts I got teary eyed. They have TRULY grown up. I'm typing this now and Jaelyn & Kayla are at a football game. Jaelyn drove. *sniff* They grow up so quick.

I've met some wonderful, wonderful people through this blog. Some of y'all I KNOW I woudn't have had a chance to meet had it not been for this great tool.

There are a few people I wish I could forget but all of that happened for a reason as well lol.

There are a couple people that I will always hold near and dear to my heart. Even if we don't talk anymore, I'll always have memories. " Suadade"

Going back through these old entries I can see so much growth in myself. The way I handle things now vs then.

Growth is a wonderful thing. WONDERFUL lol.

I guess I'm kinda all over the place. Im just thankful for where I am right now. Thankful for you guys!

I have a LOT of lurkers. Come on out today and say hello! Let me know where you are from. How long ya been reading…

That's it. Nerp, not shutting this thing down lol. I enjoy it wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much. Cheaper than laying on a sofa! LOL

Alright, that's it. Got some giveaways coming up next week so stay tuned!

Love you guys!
Toodles!!

    Beautiful post, Adrienne…
Blogging has been an amazing experience for me too, and I miss it so much… I still read my dearest friend’s blogs whenever I can, but at this point my time is almost 100% spent at taking care of Henrique… Having a baby changes it all; it’s a whole set of new priorities and I’m still adapting myself to this new life

I thankful too. Finding your blog inspired me to return to sewing. (don’t tell people it’s cheaper than laying on a couch, it’s how I make my fabric buying money, LOL)

I enjoy reading about your sewing projects. I’ve given your cooking projects a whirl as well. The other stuff you throw in your blog is lagniappe.

  • Kim/ 25.08.2012Reply

I love when bloggers share some of their personal life. It makes us REAL and helps others to know the real you and not just the “public” side. Keep on sharing.

  • Tanya/ 25.08.2012Reply

Great post. I for one am glad that you share, it has been a pleasure sharing your ups and downs. I count you as one of my keepers.

  • Cheryl/ 25.08.2012Reply

Hi, my name is Cheryl and I am from Chicago, I have been reading (lurking) your blog for several years and have always enjoyed it all. This is another of my favorite blogs!!!

  • Regina/ 25.08.2012Reply

I have been reading your blog for several years. I have come to think of you as a “friend in sewing” although we have never met. Thank you for sharing your faith, family and crafts with us!

  • Dani/Sherri/ 25.08.2012Reply

Has it really been near to seven years! I think I’ve been reading it for at least four, and your blog has always been one of my favorite online reading experiences. I don’t comment like I used to with the big move and all the shenanigans that have occurred since, but I still read! ;o) Thank you SO much for sharing your life with us.

lurker here… 🙂 Been reading less than a year, linked from LadyLee. I am inspired by your faith posts and the sewing projects lol… I haven’t properly used a sewing machine since I was in college making panel drapes, not sure I would remember anymore!

You have an uncanny ability to say exactly what is in my heart.
You do have a beautiful family, and a beautiful heart, Adrienne!

  • Janée/ 25.08.2012Reply

Hi, i have enjoyed reading your blog since 2006. I first began reading because of our shared interests in sewing and knitting. I continued reading because of your openness and sincerity. I appreciate you sharing your family, life and spiritual growth. Your blog is not just entertaining but also inspirational!

  • Kelli B/ 25.08.2012Reply

Hi! I’ve been following along for a couple of years, at least. I find your blog to be very open and honest, without being overly so….does that make sense? Anyhoo….I live in Ttown now after almost 20 yrs in the “ham”. Still miss it, so I get back to see friends as much as possible.
I’m new-ish to sewing and self taught, so I love to see all the beautiful things you make!

  • Kim M./ 25.08.2012Reply

Yep, that’s me…totally a lurker. I’ve been reading your blog for quite awhile. I mean, 5 years or more. I really appreciate your willingness to share all the different facets of your life, both good and bad, both happy and sad.
I think it would be hard to be a blogger and not talk about your family and church and work, because those things do influence you as an creative person. But I think you’ve struck a great balance with it.
I love all the little tidbits you share. Your spiritual journey is particularly impactful for me, as I struggle with my own. Your wonderful family is a delight to see…they’re all growing up so quickly! And sometimes you just plain make me laugh.
So keep up the good work! And I’ll keep reading. 🙂

  • Candice/ 25.08.2012Reply

Adrienne, you were one of the main reasons that I got into blogging. I love your openess with your readers and your realness.. You have always been one of my favorite bloggers..

  • Kathy/ 25.08.2012Reply

I have been lurking for a few years now and as a sewer I love your sewing reviews. You truly make some beautiful things. I have seen a lot of growth in you too and this inspires me also. Oh, I am from Perth Western Australia.

  • Nicky/ 25.08.2012Reply

When I started to read the post, I thought … Oh Lawd … please tell me she’s not closing this blog down!!! 😀
Now that I know you’re not I can say, although I haven’t been coming by long, it’s been a pleasure “knowing” you and seeing you grow in faith. I love the love you have for your family and for your craft.
I’m definitely going to stick around … can’t wait to see what else you have to share.

  • Ginae/ 26.08.2012Reply

I will come out of lurkdom today to say that I really enjoy your blog. I’ve been reading ladylee and Serenity’s blog for years and just recently added yours to the list a few months ago.
I keep going back and forth on starting a blog but ultimately have decided to do one. I need to decide how much to share.
Thanks for being so open and sharing. I love love love your sewing post as well and you have inspired me to learn sewing.

  • Linda/ 26.08.2012Reply

    HI Adrienne,
I’m Linda one of your lurkers. I’ve been reading your blog for probably over five years. I definitely enjoy everything you share. I have seen the growth in you and your kids I actually said to myself when I saw their back to school pictures wow they’re getting big. LOL

  • Mechelle/ 27.08.2012Reply

Hi, my name is Mechelle and I live in Los Angeles, CA. I have commented on here before but for the most part, I am a serious lurker. I love reading your posts though, and I have seen your kids grow up. It almost feels like I know you. I probably started reading a couple of years ago, but I so enjoyed it that I went back and started from the beginning. I hope that doesn’t cross the line between lurker and stalker…=O) Anyway, your family is beautiful and I look forward to more reading.

  • Susan/ 28.08.2012Reply

    Hi,
I’m a lurker to. I’ve made about 2 comments and have been reading your blog since 2007. I don’t have a blog. Maybe one day I will. I feel if I bumped in to you in the local supermarket I would give you a high five and you would think who’s that wierdo? I feel like I honestly know you. Don’t worry you wont’ bump into me, cause I live in England. Brilliant blog.

  • Cashana/ 28.08.2012Reply

My name is Cashana and have been reading your blog for years, I seem to like being a lurker. But I have loved your journey so far and hope you continue to do all the things that you enjoy and make you happy. I live in Alabama too.

  • Jennifer/ 30.08.2012Reply
