Happy New Year! Can you BELIEVE it is 2017!? WHOA! What am I wearing? A sequin dress of course!

2016 was a DOOZY for me. There were SO many things that happened. If you aren’t familiar you can read up on one of the biggest things here: The Best Excuse. I wasn’t very public about the divorce but I did want to share, mainly because that is what I have always done. Little did I know what would come from me sharing that post. I was overwhelmed and humbled. 2017 is a new start is SO many ways.

Seriously looking back at 2016 like…You Tried It. NOTHING I went through took me out. It made me stronger.

I wanted to start 2017 off with a brand new look.

You all know I LOVE to sparkle, so I’m starting the year off FULL of shine! This year I won’t hold back. AT ALL. If I want something I’m going for it. Full force. I’ve held back for so long for so many different reasons. It’s my time to SHINE.

The smile on my face is a genuine one. You would think at 39 I would pretty much “know myself.” NO. I have learned SO much about myself that it is INSANE. I LOVE the place of discovery that I am in.

While this post is supposed to be showcasing this gorgeous sequin dress that I made, it’s turning into a bit more than that. It’s more about the woman WEARING the dress. Who I am becoming. That’s someone I never thought I could be.

Who is that woman? She’s a woman who can do and have whatever she wants. Cocky? Nah, there is a scripture that says I can do ALL things through Christ. God first add to that a tremendously amazing support system?! There is NO limit to what I can accomplish.

My mother gave me a painting the other day that said, “This is the beginning of ANYTHING you want.” It really is.
