    Hmmm on the subject of electronics in church, I think the line of thinking is more of “I don’t want to keep moving with technology.” I remember the days when computers were “new” and people would have never guessed they’d be so prevalent and kids would be using them and they’d be portable. I see nothing wrong with using electronics in church. Now taking a phone call or something like that is disrespectful but I don’t think it matters how you access the scripture as long as you do!
    In re the prayers for football. I pray for random things: that my hair will turn out good or that I’ll find some shoes on sale. What’s wrong with making your desires known to God, whatever they may be? Who says they have to be impt to the world? That’s why prayers are PERSONAL. They are your personal communication with God.
