Sequin Pants

Sequin Pants

Sequin Pants

It’s not a new thing that I LOVE all things sparkly. I love sequin and wear it all year long but for those of you who don’t we are in the midst of “sparkly season”.  I made a pair of “loose” sequin leggings last year and this year I wanted a pair of sequin crop pants.

Inspiration is EVERYWHERE.

Sequin Pants

I LOVE these pants. I think I love everything that I make and these are certainly no exception. These pants are also great to wear to your holiday gatherings!

sequin pantsInstead of going with all black (which I seem to be in love with lately) I grabbed this winter white blazer. I wanted to keep it classic.

sequin pants I went with bold accessories and simple shoes. My shoes are Calvin Klein and what I LOVEEEEE about these is the  calf hair. It’s SO hard to see in the pic so here is a closeup lol

sequin pantsFor those of you who sew here is a review:

Simplicity 1428

Pattern Description: Easy to sew and on trend, Misses’ track pants have elastic drawstring waist and optional trim down the side. Pattern also includes pull on shorts and skirt in three lengths all with side pockets.

Pattern Sizing: 6-14 I made the 12

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?  Kinda sorta

Were the instructions easy to follow? I glanced at them and they are well written but I didn’t follow them.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love this style pant.

Fabric Used: Sequin

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I omitted the pockets, did not add the waistband or the drawstring, I added elastic to the waist. I shorted them by four inches and added a cuff.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will make these again . They are great if you want a relaxed pair of pants.

Conclusion:  Great pattern to have in your collection.

Loving this look from head to toe. My job christmas party is coming up and I couldn’t make up my mind on what to wear, but when I saw your post on the jumpsuit I was instantly inspired. I went shopping yesterday and found not only a cute jumpsuit but a pair of sequined jogger pants. Now I have two outfits to choose from. Thanks for posting this.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these pants! See, the problem with this is…absolutely nothing. I was JUST looking at that pattern this weekend and of course was just thinking tuxedo pants, but I adore how you created these. Now, this is really bad because I just PROMISED myself I would not buy anymore fabric until I used my most recent acquisitions. BUT, I don’t have ANY sequin fabric and that is a problem.
    Beautiful work as always!

Adrienne, where did you get you sequins from?

I have no idea. I’ve had this in my stash for maybe three years and I have 8 yards of it so I had to have gotten a great sale lol. I did buy some this year from a fabric store in NY.
