Sassy Maxi-Dress | McCall’s 6558

Hey Guys! I’m a day behind in my posting. I recorded a “new” studio tour video but I’m having sooooooooooooooooo much trouble getting it on YouTube. Last night I was ready to throw my computer out the window so I’m trying again today. Keeping my fingers crossed!

How about a Sassy Maxi- Dress!?

adriennes essentials floral maxi4I absolutely ADORE this dress. I made this back in 2012 and pulled it out again for a repeat!

What I love how versatile it is. Wear it off your shoulders for a sassy look or if that’s not the look for you wear it on your shoulders like I did here for church 🙂

adriennes essentials floral maxiEither way you wear it you can’t go wrong. I need this in a solid color lol.

adriennes essentials floral maxi5The shoessssss. Y’all know I love shoes. There are old and I think they are by Boutique9 but don’t quote me on that lol

For those of you who sew, here is a review:

Pattern Description: Pullover tops and dresses have elasticized neck/raised (seamed) waist, and narrow hem. A and B: sleeveless. B: applied hem ruffle. A and C: purchased trim. C and D: front and back extend into sleeve (wrong side may show). D: side slits and purchased trim for shoulder strap.I made view B without the bottom ruffle.

Pattern Sizing:8-16

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

YES!
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are very well written and easy to follow.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved everything about this pattern.

Fabric Used: Jersey Knit

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: none

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I do plan on making this again.

Conclusion: This pattern was super easy to make. The knit I used I’ve had in my stash forever but it was perfect. It is SO soft. I love that I can dress this up or down. It’s a great dress.
