Red Cape Dress

Red Cape Dress

Hey guys! I made this red cape dress some time ago and I’m just getting around to wearing it. Let me tell you how my life works. I go through these binges when I just sew garments for myself and that’s it. This was made during one of those times lol.

Normally I do a few clients then take a break and make myself something to just cleanse my palette lol. This outfit didn’t happen like that lol.

This dress has sparked a new love for red in me. Don’t be surprised if you see me making a lot of red garments in the near future.

The wind would NOT let me be great but my hair stayed in place. Gotta love Shunta from iStyle Salon in Vestavia for keeping me all the way together.

I LOVE this dress. I decided not to attach the cape to the dress so I could get more wear out of it. Once the cape trend passes, I still have a fitted red dress. I WIN.

I kept my accessories very minimal. Gold disk earrings, a couple of simple bangles, this sparkly clutch and my extra sparkly shoes.

This dress was self drafted so there is no pattern review. I do have some outtakes! LOL

Listen. The wind was SO high. SOOOOO high, so it was fun AND frustrating trying to take these pics lol. I love how the light bounces off my shoe and sparkles lol

I literally just gave up trying to control the cape and we were done lol.

Y’all have a good one! See you tomorrow!
