The Printed Romper

The Printed Romper

Hey guys! Hope your week has gotten off to a great start!

I wanted to show you guys the Printed Romper that I wore over the weekend. I absolutely LOVE it!

Rompers are NEW for me. I’ve wanted a printed one for a while and decided this would be the perfect thing to wear to Mimi’s Pattern Signing in Brooklyn.

Words seriously can’t explain how much I absolutely LOVE this! I WILL make more of these for the fall lol. I have always loved rompers but the ones in the stores are WAY too short.

The best way for me to get the look I wanted was to make it myself.

The print is very busy so I went with very simple accessories.

I love these mesh booties. They are Steve Madden and I was SHOCKED at how comfortable they were.

For those of you who sew here is a review:

I used two patterns to achieve this look:

Vogue 8961

McCall’s 6083

I made the shorts straight out of the envelope with no problem.

I made them longer than the pattern suggests because I just don’t wear my shorts that short.

The  Vogue top went together well. I didn’t want the V neck so I rounded the neckline.

I added two inches to the length because I wanted it to have  more of a blousy effect.

I LOVE the elastic on the arm.

That’s all I have for today!!

I have to pull out the Vogue pattern now, I like how you rounded the neckline. No shorts for me tho. Totally flattering on you, just brilliant.
