Four dresses…

Four dresses…

2187s
Up first we have Simplicity 2187. While I loved wearing this, next time I'm going to wear it with a wide leather belt instead of this fabric belt and see if I like the way it looks on me. I THOUGHT I did, but seeing it now, uhhhhhhhhhhhh it doesn't look all that flattering. My boobs look huge and I look huge but uhhh ok. Only posting it because I made it and I love my fabric lol.

5893m
5893m2 McCall's 5893. I love this pattern. Seriously. It's quick and easy and gets great results everytime. I bought this one again and one of the last sales because my original pattern is worn out and torn lol.

6308m
McCalls 6308. This one was super quick and easy. I wanted something simple (without making the above dress AGAIN lol) to showcase this gorgeous fabric I picked up a few months ago! I think this one did the job lol.

Alright, that's it on the sewing front for right now. I'm so inspired to sew for fall but it's too hot!! lol

Toodles!

I am loving the maxi dress also! LOL ! You look great in all of your maxi! Great job!

All three maxis are doing their thang! I LOVE the way you used the border print. The first dress fabric is really cute. I did think you looked larger in the picture when I first saw it, but when I enlarged the image for a close up, you looked great. I think my chest looks large in some pictures, but in others (even when wearing the same outfit) it looks regular. Might just be the screen shot. I say “work it”! lol

Great dresses, the fabric in the last one is super gorgeous.

You look lovely, as always. I love the border print fabric. You’re right about that first pic, before I read your comment I was wondering what sort of new magic bra you wear wearing! You don’t look huge, just your boobs. I think a wide belt would show off your little waist.

They are all great. M6308 is my favorite. That print is stunning.

You really got a lot of sewing accomplished this summer!! All the dress looks wonderful.

Four great summer dresses. All show off your fabric and yourself so well. I think your pose in the first dress makes your chest look a little larger than it actually is (I mean that in the nicest possible way) but a wider belt might also break up the pattern of the dress a little more.

    Adrienne,
Great dresses- I really like the maxis.
Quick question, did you use knit material on all three?

  • Kelly/ 28.08.2011Reply

Great dresses and beautiful fabric. I too love that M5893, I’ve made it twice already, maybe I should buy a spare copy too while I can still get it. You continue to inspire me.
