Floral Print Dress

Floral Print Dress

Heyyyyyyyyy guys! I’m sleepy. Just thought I would get that out of the way lol.  Here is a quick  look at a gorgeous floral print dress I made a few weeks back. If you follow me on instagram I am sure you saw this fabric and shoes WAY before now lol. I have said it before and I will say it again, I am almost always inspired by my fabric and my shoes. Normally inspiration comes from my shoes first. I love shoes but right now we are talking about this floral print dress.

There is still snow on the grounds in this picture. I like that lol. We don’t get snow often but when we do it is ALWAYS a big deal. I think the kids were out of school a few days behind this lol.

I absolutely love this fabric. Normally I can remember where I picked up fabric from but I don’t remember where I got this. I know I’ve had it a few years but I was waiting on the perfect project. Sometimes you just need to wait and let the fabric speak to you. I thought this simple dress was perfect to showcase some gorgeous fabric.

I do love animal print so I added this animal print necklace and animal print shoes. They compliment each other nicely. Don’t you agree?

For those of you who sew, here is a review McCall’s 7531:

Pattern Description: Very close-fitting pullover dresses have neckline, sleeve and length variations. C, D: Back slit opening.

Pattern Sizing: 4-14

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

YES!
Were the instructions easy to follow? I didn’t use the instructions. I did glance over them for the review and they are very well written and easy to understand.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Just liked the basic lines of the dress.

Fabric Used:  ITY

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I tapered mine a bit more at the knee.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This is a great basic dress. Perfect to showcase gorgeous fabric.

Conclusion: Great  basic wardrobe builder pattern.
