B, D: front neck flounce (wrong side of fabric will show). C, D: collar and collar band, tiered caps sleeves. D: contrast flounce and sleeves.

Pattern Sizing: 14-20

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

YES!
Were the instructions easy to follow? SUPER easy.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This pattern was very close to my inspiration pattern.

Ruffle blouse
High Neck Ruffle Top

Fabric Used: Cotton Voile

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added a ruffle to the collar.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I want to make this blouse again. I LOVE it!!! I highly recommend this blouse.

Conclusion: Great patter!!! Very well drafted. A great addition to my wardrobe.

Here are some additional pictures:

5464button
I went with clear buttons because it was hard to match the pink.

5464hem
5464rolledhem
I did a rolled hem on all the edges. Took FOREVER, but it was totally worth it.

5464ruffle
To make the ruffle, I cut one strip on the fold that was twice the length of the collar and gathered it up so it would fit. I LOVED the outcome. I felt extra girly in this blouse. I LOVE it.

OMG, this is so awesome! I am actually not a huge fan of ruffles, mostly because I don´t need extra fabric enhancing my bust, but I am soooo tempted to make this…
    Love the whole outfit!

Fab! I bought this pattern for that version but I never thought about the ruffle at the neck. I’m going to have to steal that.

HOT! I am so in awe! I am afraid of rolled edges, so you just made me want to try one. I got my eye on a couple of patterns for me and the baby girl for Mother’s Day.

You are so adventurous. To meet people you’ve never seen just from tweeting. I probably would have worried about whether or not I was meeting a club of axe murderers. I guess I read too many mystery novels. Your blouse looks just like the pattern. Is that fabric that you bought without a pattern in mind? Those shoes are perfect and so colorful.

Great looking blouse. I like the idea of using clear buttons and ruffle at the top of the neck band.

  • Tany/ 02.04.2011Reply
