Hey guys!

Last night I attended the B-Metro Women of Power Event at the Beverly McNeil Gallery. If you follow me on Instagram you have already seen a few pictures.

This event was superb! Great food, beautiful artwork and great conversation with some pretty great people.

But what did I wear!? lol

I had NO idea there would be red carpet but as soon as I saw it I could not WAIT to take a picture on it.

I am in LOVE with my dress. Hopefully you all already know about what’s happening on May 25, 2015.  Remember this dress lol 😉

This is what 7 yards of fabric looks like. It’s a LOT of fabric but it’s really cool and not heavy at all.  I love the fullness that the front creates. And it has pockets! You know for my cell phone lol.

I saw this print and fell in love. There is NOTHING like this in stores. I’ve looked locally AND when Im out of town. Thankfully I can sew 🙂 The bodice is lined but the skirt is not. I didn’t think the skirt needed a lining.

I did not use a pattern on this dress. I used my princess seam top sloper and did the calculations for a full pleated skirt.

It’s always ALL about the shoes. I kept my accessories fairly simple, but I had to wear a sparky necklace. I just HAD to 🙂
