3 Tips for Mixing Prints

Hey guys!

Mixing prints can be SO intimidating if it’s something you don’t do often but today I’ll give you 3 tips for mixing prints.

3 Ways to Mix Prints

I had a wardrobe meltdown while I was in LA last summer and ended up wearing this outfit and I loved it. I haven’t worn this since so I decided to recreate it and boy am I glad!

3 Ways to Mix Prints

I purchased this skirt in LA and I forgot how much I love it.  It’s the perfect mix of all things sexy.

The back of this outfit is just visually appealing. The split in the skirt and the bow on the back of the blouse is so unexpected. I KEPT getting compliments.

My clutch is from The Mint Julep and I absolutely love it. It really brought everything together for me.

Here are 3 Tips for Mixing Prints:

  1. BE CONFIDENT – When you mix prints, be confident. I mixed black and white prints and I owned it.
  2. USE ACCESSORIES – I was already wearing a polkadot blouse, I decided the bold design on my clutch from The Mint Julep would be a great way to combine two prints.
  3. MATCH COLORS NOT PRINTS – If the colors look great together the print should look great together.

*Bonus Tip* BREAK THE LOOK UP WITH SOLIDS– If you don’t like the print on print look break the look up with solids like I did here. I’m wearing three different prints but I broke it all up with a solid skirt.
