2014 Sewing WrapUp!

2014 Sewing WrapUp!

It’s that time. Can’t believe the year is almost over.

Here is a link to my 2013 Sewing WrapUp. Last year was fun lol.

You can see ALL the garments I’ve sewn by clicking HERE.

I didn’t have many items that would fall under the category of “why in the WORLD did I make that”. THAT makes me happy lol. I don’t always get it right but I did have a few lol

adriennes essentials

My HAPPY Jacket. I was more happy about the color of this fabric lol. I wore it ONE time.

sequin-front-sweatshirt

Jazzy Sweatshirt Good idea at the time. NEVER wore it again lol

Printed Jumpsuit. Well see umm. NO. I wasted some great fabric lol

Moving on.

Favorite from 2013

adriennes essentialsThis dress will always remain in my closet. I absolutely LOVE it.

Most Worn Garment

african print pleated skirtI kid you not, every single time I went somewhere and the same people weren’t there I wore this skirt. I adore it.

Favorite Inspired Look:

kimono dress

I HAD to make this Saint Laurent Inspired Dress when Vogue released their summer patterns. I LOVE this dress.

Some of my favorite looks:

adriennes essentials

This vintage dress. I loved constructing this one.

black wrap maxi dress and floppy hat

I love wrap dresses, and I LOVE maxi dresses so this was one of my favorites. I’ve made a couple for Spring 2015 already **giggles** can’t wait to show y’all!

african print skirt

This has to be my favorite picture of 2014 lol. I was crying right before I took this pic. I dried my eyes and got it done. I also got more orders for this skirt than ANY skirt I’ve ever made. I am Adrienne’s Essentials. I am my brand. I WEAR my brand. I am walking advertisement and this picture SOLD the skirt lol.

blue faux leather dress

This dress was the warm up. Can’t WAIT to work with genuine leather in 2015.

sequin pants

I don’t make pants often. I “specialize” in skirts & dresses but I will be making more pants in 2015. I adore these sequin pants.

I’ll end it with the last item I posted. My silk pink pleated skirt.

Pink Pleated SkirtThere ya have it!

In 2013 my goal for 2014 was to continue to learn and not have so many items that ended up in the give away pile lol. I had three items last year and three items this year.

My goal for 2015 will be the same continue to learn and improve and not have items that go in the give away pile lol.

Do you have any sewing goals for 2015?

My sewing goal for 2015 is very simple, just sew something. I didn’t sew 10 things this year. I have to do better next year.

I enjoy reading your blog even though I don’t always leave a comment. I love all your looks especially that pink jack and the sequin pants.

Congrats on reaching your 2014 goals. I enjoyed each outfits you made. My favorite of them all was the blue faux leather dress, and shoes to match. Loved! Can’t wait to see what you make in 2015.

Loved it all! You make me want to sew. I unfortunately do not have a creative gene in my body nor the patience. 🙁
