Soul Food…My Walk with God.
I'm BACK. I talked briefly before about being off track. I mean I REALLY got off. My prayer time was off, my devotional time was off. I was just OFF.
I started reading this book by Joel Osteen and it literally changed my life.
Seems like I'm always having life changing moments but I'm thankful for that.
This book helped me to see where I was speaking not so good things over myself and my family without even really realizing it.
Sometimes I'll find myself going back to that old way of thinking. I'll even stop praying/journaling. Then it's like something hits me over the head and I realize I've slacked off.
I want to encourage ya'll to GET THIS BOOK. Speak these promises over your life. You will be SO glad you did!!
I'm not perfect, just striving to be the woman God wants me to be. Keeping my life lined up with the WORD!

I was just having a conversation with a friend about this very same thing yesterday. She was talking about her son whose 9 yrs old, and how bad he does in school, how he doesn’t want to apply himself or try with anything, etc. Then she said something that really got my attention…she said “I should just get ready now because he’s probably not going to amount to much, and will probably just get a simple job and live a simple life, and hopefully won’t end up in jail like some of my family”. Well we had some real talk after that and I told her never to speak that over her son again. I hope and pray I got through to her how her words had power. I think I did but still….at the same time I can understand how a parent would get so frustrated and want to give up and settle. I have been wanting to read this book so I will put it on the list and recommend to my friend as well.

I love this book, it has made an awesome change in what I speak over my life and what I speak over others. Everyone should check out this book. It is Oh So WORTH IT!
