What I’ve Read | My Love for Books
Hey yall! Where is the time going!? I can’t BELIEVE it is already July 1st. The first half of the year is GONE. Before you know it we will be wishing each other a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
June was a rather light reading month for me and I believe July will be as well but we will see. Reading is just relaxes me. Strangely I have found that it inspires my sewing, but I’ll talk about that soon 🙂
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins – I’ve read this before but wanted to read it again lol.
The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace by Jeff Hobbs
Show Your Work & Steal Like an Artist by Austin Kleon
Have you read anything good? Which do you prefer, a traditional book or an e-book?
Let me know in the comments.

Hi Adrienne, I know what you mean. We’ll blink and Christmas will be among us. I have some books on my nightstand to read. I also have Austin Kleon’s books and enjoy them. I want to read Girl on the Train and returned to reading traditional books as the computer screen is murder on my eyes.
Here some of books:
All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. It’s on my list of fiction to read.
The Crossroads of Should and Must – Find and Follow Your Passion by Elle Luna. I came across this book while listening to the Smart Creative Women podcast. She was a guest on the program and thought I’ll give it a read.
Better Than Before by Gretchen Rubin. I’m all for creating some healthier or smarter habits in my life.
Empire of Cotton – A Global History by Sven Beckert. I’m a bit of nerd for history and my curiosity about this crop that’s a part of our everyday lives.
I’m waiting for Go to Set a Watchman: A Novel to go on sale July 14. I’m going re-read To Kill A Mockingbird.

I just finished reading Shadow of the Almighty: The Life and Testament of Jim Elliot, a missionary who was killed by an Indian tribe while trying to share the Gospel with them.
And I just started on One In a Million by Priscilla Shrirer.
I love real books, but I also love having my Kindle with so many books at my fingertips and it’s easy to just throw in my purse.

I LOVE Priscilla Shrirer! I need to start a new bible study.
I was SO against e-readers but LOVE mine. I do still love real books though.
